We will kick-off the event with the Pet Parade which includes a ¼ mile fun walk along the Main Park wooded trail at 1:30 p.m. – Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. All animals are welcome for the parade. Parade prizes will be awarded to the top winners in the following categories: Best Dressed, Most Exotic, Most Original, Smallest Pet and Largest Pet! Costumes are optional! After the parade, an afternoon of canine contests for our four-legged friends will begin at approx. 2:00 p.m. Start training your pooch now so they can place in our contests: Woof Off, Most Obedient, Best Trick and Hot Dog Relay! Vendors, demonstrations, and give-a-ways will be available throughout the afternoon. For the safety of your dog and others, please be sure the dog’s vaccinations are current. Sell your old and new wares at these annual Flea Markets. We welcome fresh produce, new and used crafts, clothing, tools, etc. Spend a day selling and swapping. Groups/organizations welcome. Limited Concessions will be available.
-Check-in time for vendors: 6:45 a.m. Vendors that want spaces together must check-in together (NO EXCEPTIONS). Spaces cannot be reserved for late-comers.
-Any vendor arriving after 8:00 a.m. will be assessed at $10 late fee
-Buyers admitted free 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
-Bring your own table, chairs, etc. (15’ X 15’ area provided)
-Sellers are allowed only one (1) vehicle by their space for loading & unloading
-If you park a vehicle and trailer (adding up to 30 ft long) you must purchase two (2) spaces. Any vehicles and trailers longer will need to purchase the correct amount of spaces as to the length of their vehicles.
-A $5 fee will be charged for each additional vehicle accompanying a seller to load/unload
-Spaces are determined by staff on a first-come, first-serve basis
-Call the Park Office in advance if you are planning to sell food or drink items. Restrictions apply.
-Vendors are allowed to sell fresh produce.

Packet Pick-up: Pre-registrants can pick-up their bib number with transponder, goodie bag and *dri-fit t-shirt at Sports Authority - Frankfort (11185 W Lincoln Hwy) on Friday, June 7 from 3-6pm or event day between 7:30am-8:25am.

T-shirt: Dri-fit t-shirts will be provided to the first 300 paid 5K Run/Walk registrants.
Event Components: 5K (3.1 mile) USATF-certified course and transponder-timed run and fun walk followed by kids dashes, refreshments, entertainment and an awards ceremony.
Course/Split Times/Water: The run and walk course is an out and back course run primarily on asphalt paths in Mokena and will start/finish in Main Park. Split times & markers will be indicated on course. Water stations will be available on the course, start and finish lines.
Kid’s Dashes: Registered children 10 and under can participate in kids dashes at approximately 9:30am from the start line. Kid’s dash distances and heats will vary by age. All participants will receive a ribbon. 1st Place winners will receive prizes.
Team Challenge: Teams must consist of three (3) or more and team awards will be awarded in the following categories:
Fastest Team (determined by taking the average of the top three finishers of team)
Largest Team (determined by team with most event registrants)
Teams will also have the opportunity to receive discounts and ease of pre-packaged events items (t-shirts, bibs, etc.) on event day. Please contact the Special Events Department at 708-390-2416 for team registration form/s, packet pick-up information and more!
Awards: An awards ceremony will start after the kids dashes have completed. The Best Overall Male & Female Run Winners will receive medals and LifeFitness Body Shape Plus Kits ($400 value). The top three winners in the following age categories: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & over will also receive medals.
Refreshments/Entertainment: Refreshments will be available following the run/walk including Chick-fil-A sandwiches, health bars, Honest Tea, 5 Hour Energy, Hinckley Springs water, Panera Bread bagels, fruit provided by Jewel Osco and more!

Injury Prevention for the Seasonal Athlete - FREE seminar
This educational seminar is designed to educate parents and coaches on how to prevent injuries in sports participation. While not all injuries can be prevented, athletic trainers will provide insight as to how to prevent some of the basic injuries as well as address unique meidcal conditions. Parents and coaches will be able to identify pre-season conditioning tips, identify seasonal considerations (heat vs. cold), identify special considerations for the diabetic or asthmatic athlete. Fermilab Guided Tour & Lunch
What is the universe made of? How does it work? Where did it come from? Scientists at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) carry out research in high-energy physics to answer these questions. On this two-hour guided tour, visitors can view the Laboratory from the 15th Floor windows and various displays located in Wilson Hall. The tour moves to the Linear Accelerator Building where visitors see the Cockcroft-Walton, the components in the linear accelerator gallery and the Main Control Room. Lunch is available for purchase on-site at the Wilson Hall Cafeteria. Age restriction: 10yrs old and over.

Concussion Management - What Parents Need to Know - FREE seminar
This educational seminar is geared toward educating parents and coaches on the latest research and management of cncussions sustained in high contact sports (football, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse). Local experts will come in and share the latest protocols in managing individuals with concussions. Parents and coaches will be able to identify the meaning of a concusiion, identify a concussion in an athlete, and idetnify appropriate healthcare providers to manage concussions. Also, aprents will understand post-concussion rehabilition and determine when their child can return to sports. Pre-registration is required. Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum Trip
