The 38th Annual Halloween Hollow will be held at the historical Yunker Park in Mokena at 10824 LaPorte Rd. The carnival will be held across the street in the Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center Parking Lot. 


Friday, October 18th: 4pm-8pm

         * Carnival Only, no events at Yunker Park

Saturday, October 19th:12pm-8pm

Sunday, October 20th:1pm-5pm

         * Special Needs Only Time: 11:30am-1pm

Event Policies

>No dogs allowed (except service animals & Sunday for the Mutt Strut)

>Smoking in the smoking area only

>No coolers allowed

Food & Beverage

Food will be available from the food vendors located at Yunker Park and pop & hot cider will be available for purchase from the Mokena Community Park District information booth. Beer sales & spiked cider will also be available for purchase on Saturday evening from 3pm-8pm at the information booth. No beer sales on Friday and Sunday.


Yunker Park Kid's Entertainment (12pm-5pm Saturday & Sunday)

Ghost Town Games: Enjoy fun free games & every game wins you a prize!

Free Kids Activities: Straw Maze, Tricky Tractors, Bounce House, Connect Four, Table Games & Pumpkin Painting (pumpkin painting is saturday only).

Kids Activities ($): Scarecrow Laboratory, Horse Rides, Face Painting & Haunted House. 



Event parking is $5 per car and is located at the Oaks, Yunker Park, and Main Park. Parking is waived for Oaks Fitness Center members & Park 'n Bark members who are utilizing those facilities.  

Dropping off or Ubering?

If you are dropping off a group at the event or using uber/lyft, please pull in at the Oaks parking lot and use the drop off lane. To keep traffic moving please make sure your group is ready to be dropped off or picked up. There is no parking/waiting in the drop off lane.



Unlimited ride wristbands are $25 a piece for the below time frame or single tickets are available for purchase as well.

Friday, October 18th: 4pm-8pm

Saturday, October 19th: 12pm-4pm


Sunday, October 20th: 1pm-5pm




All of the contests below with an asterisk (*) are free to participate in and registration will be taken the day of for all contest except for the House of Frights contest! Below you will find more information & details on the larger contests at the main stage.

Costume Contest

This contest is limited to the first 100 people to sign up, so please be sure to come by and get your contestant number starting at 12pm. Costumes will be judges in five (5) categories: Cutest, Group, Funniest, Scariest and Most Original. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each category as  well as one (1) Best Overall winner. 

Mutt Strut Contest

Bring your furry firends out for this howling fun canine costume contest! Dress your pet up in their favorite Halloween costume and bring them to the Main Stage to strut their stuff for prizes.

House of Fright Contest    *Register online by October 11, 2019

Decorate your home for this spook-tacular holiday contest. Winners are determined in two categories: Amateur Ogres (for those who have not won in the past) and Master Monsters (for those who have won previously). Judging will take place October 15th & 16th and you do not need to be present for the judging. Register your home HERE!

Halloween Hollow relies heavily on volunteers to help make this event a success! We are in need of  many volunteers to help Halloween Hollow run as smoothly as possible. If you are able to set aside some time before/after riding rides & getting some food at the event please consider volunteering at the event.
