The 39th Annual Halloween Hollow will be re-imagined for this year, as the country continues to deal with the COVID pandemic. This year's Halloween Hollow will unfortunately not be the same as you have seen the event in the past, but please stay tuned for the new re-imagined events.

Although we may not be able to host the Halloween Hollow we have all come to know and love, the 40th Annual Hollow in 2021 will be bigger and better than ever!

Friday, October 9th

 Drive in Movie, 7:15pm- 10pm 

                Showing: The Addams Family (2019 version)

                Fee: $10 per car

Saturday, October 10th

The Great Pumpkin Hunt  (hunt for pumpkins October 10-October 30, winner announced October 30th at noon!)

Guidelines: The Mokena Community Park District has hidden 20 pumpkins at our local parks. While you are out & about be on the search for a pumpkin. Once you have found one, turn it in at the administration office for a small prize and your chance to win The Great Pumpkin Hunt Raffle Prize! You can only turn in ONE pumpkin per child for a prize. Prizes will be handed out starting Monday, October 12th. 

Fee: FREE!

 

House of Frights Contest (registration is closed, winners announced October 30th)

Guidelines: Our annual House of Frights is back!  Decorate your residence for this “spook-tacular” holiday and register online for your chance to win this fun contest! Registration is FREE!  Judging will take place between 6:30pm-9:30pm on October 22nd & 29th and is based on creativity, originality, theme, musical effects, lighting and overall layout.  Contestants do not need to be present during judging.  Winners are determined in two categories:  Amateur Ogres (for those who have not won a prize previously) and Master Monsters (for those who have won in the past). Saturday October 24th

Drive Thru Trick or Treat, 3pm-5pm at Main Park (RESIDENT ONLY EVENT)

Guidelines: Dress up in your favorite costume and join us at Main Park for a fun drive thru trick or trick experience! We encourage you to also decorate your cars in a fun Halloween theme! Trick or treating will be open to pre-registered vehicles only. You must register once PER VEHICLE, NOT per person.  Registration for this event will open on Monday, October 12th and  you can click HERE to register your vehicle!

Fee: FREE!

Trick or Treat Sponsors/Volunteers: We are looking for local businesses, organization & families to help out to set up a tent/booth “stop” on the drive thru trick or treat. We are asking that anyone interested please fill out the Drive Thru Trick or Treat Sponsor Form.  Sponsor registration is due by Tuesday, October 20th and is free! You will recieve an email comfirmation with more information on being a "sponsor" on Wednesday, October 21st.
