Summer Shines Through St. Charles Trip - August 2

We will start with a guided tour at The Fabyan Villa Museum, the former home of George and Nelle Fabyan where we will learn about the scope of their country estate, Riverbank. The home is partially furnished, with some spaces used to display their collections and other estate artifacts. We will then head into the Japanese Garden for a guided tour of this historic landscape site with original & recreated structures, learn about the Japanese garden theory exemplified in the Fabyan garden features and discuss The Fabyan’s estate history related to the Japanese Garden. We will travel for plated lunch at The Office that features outstanding food in a casual but upscale atmosphere. From there, we will tour The Arcada Theatre that dates from 1926 and is one of the historic venues in the Fox Valley followed by our last stop aboard a Mark Twain replica Paddlewheel Riverboat Cruise on the Fox River while enjoying the summer sunshine and summer sights! Fee includes mini-motorcoach, tours (3), lunch with tax/gratuity included and cruise.
